NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 4/10/25

Tonight, we have a 10-game slate and two teams playing on a back-to-back, the New York Rangers and Anaheim Ducks. Tonight’s slate offers value across the board, allowing for creativity when building lineups.

The currently live top-3 highest implied team totals are: Los Angeles with 3.7, Vegas with 3.5, and Columbus with 3.5. I will do my best to guide you through this 10-game slate on DraftKings and FanDuel starting at 7:00 p.m. EST.

DISCLOSURE: Make sure to monitor the NHL news feeds for the latest player status and injury news.

NHL Stanley Cup Playoff Implications:

  • If the Carolina Hurricanes win or lose in overtime—they need one point—they will clinch second place in the Metropolitan Division.
  • If the Winnipeg Jets win in regulation, they will unofficially be the Central Division Champions.
  • If the Vegas Golden Knights win, they will unofficially be the Pacific Division Champions, or if they win and the Los Angeles Kings lose in regulation, Vegas will clinch the Pacific Division.

DraftKings and FanDuel Goalies - NHL DFS Picks

Igor Shesterkin - DK $7.6K || FD $7.3K

Opponent - at New York Islanders

Igor Shesterkin is coming off back-to-back dumpster fire performances. In two games at New Jersey and versus Tampa Bay, the netminder made 30 saves, conceded seven goals, and produced a 3.56 Goals Against Average and a 0.811 Save Percentage.

Over his last 10 away starts, he has a 1.13 Goals Saved Above Expected Per 60, a 1.64 Goals Against Average, and a 0.942 Save Percentage. In two appearances against the Islanders this season, Shesterkin went undefeated while producing a 1.00 Goals Against Average and a 0.966 Save Percentage.

Lastly, the Islanders are the fifth-best team in terms of value when assessing Shots Per Goal Per 60. Can Igor rebound on New York’s back-to-back and claim two critical points?

Others To Consider (Cash/GPP):

  • Sergei Bobrovsky (DK $8.2K || FD $7.7K) vs. Detroit Red Wings
  • Karel Vejmelka (DK $7.9K || FD $7.7K) vs. Nashville Predators

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NHL DFS Picks

Logan Cooley - DK $5.7K || FD $6.5K

Opponent - vs. Nashville Predators

Logan Cooley is coming off a two-point night in their big 7-1 victory versus Seattle on Tuesday. He also produced four shots. He now has two goals, two assists, 11 shots, and three blocked shots in his last five games.

The Nashville Predators over their last 10 away games in Per 60 metrics against are a bottom-10 team in both goals and scoring chances. The visitors are coming off a goal-fest in a win over the Islanders on Tuesday. Can Cooley and company keep the fiesta going?

Phillip Danault - DK $4.8K || FD $5K

Opponent - vs. Anaheim Ducks

Phillip Danault has been ‘struggling’ over the last few months. He has only scored two points, taken six shots, and blocked two shots in his last five games.

Luckily, he has a prime matchup at home against the Anaheim Ducks. He also has the best line matchup. Danault and the second line are projected to match up hard against Anaheim’s top line, which is the same top line that measures out as their worst defensive line. Danault is projected to produce one point and two shots.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Nathan MacKinnon (DK $9.3K || FD $9K) vs. Vancouver Canucks
  • Dylan Strome (DK $5.5K || FD $6.6K) vs. Carolina Hurricanes

DraftKings and FanDuel Wings - NHL DFS Picks

David Pastrnak - DK $8.8K || FD $8.6K

Opponent - vs. Chicago Blackhawks

David Pastrnak hit the 100-point mark for the third-straight season on Tuesday, and it's thanks to his blistering hot form. The winger has accumulated six goals, eight assists, 15 shots, and two blocked shots over his last five outings.

Tonight carries no exception either. Over the last 10 away games, the Chicago Blackhawks have conceded 0.22 more Goals Per 60. This is followed by their fourth-worst defense in both Goals Against Per 60 and Scoring Chances Per 60. Pasta is expected to produce double-digit fantasy points tonight.

Nino Niederreiter - DK $3.5K || FD $4.5K

Opponent - at Dallas Stars

Nino Niederreiter is in a precarious position. He is currently replacing teammate and fellow winger Nikolaj Ehlers while the latter is out with an injury. However, Ehlers is considered a game-time decision for this matchup. Whether Nino plays on the second or third lines, he will have a prime matchup against a defenseless Dallas Stars.

In their last 10 home games, the Stars have a positive 0.28 Expected Goals Against Per 60. This comes on the tail of an unforeseen drop in form. The hosts over their last three games, excluding splits, are 0-3 and have been outscored 14 goals to 10.

Niederreiter will match up against Dallas’s second line, which is by far the worst defensive line in the league over the last 10 games. He has two assists, 10 shots, and three blocked shots in the winger's most recent five outings.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Artturi Lehkonen (DK $5.4K || FD $5.2K) vs. Vancouver Canucks
  • Taylor Raddysh (DK $2.5K || FD $3.7K) vs. Carolina Hurricanes

DraftKings and FanDuel Defensemen - NHL DFS Picks

Brandt Clarke - DK $4.5K || FD $4.5K

Opponent - vs. Anaheim Ducks

Teammate and defender Drew Doughty is projected to miss his second consecutive game as the Kings play it safe with his ankle. In his place, two-way defender Brandt Clarke is expected to hold down roles on the top pairing and top power-play unit.

In Clarke’s last five games, he has one assist, nine shots, and four blocked shots. Anaheim is projected to roll out Lukas Dostal tonight, who has a 3.22 Goals Against Average and a 0.895 Save Percentage in his last 10 away starts. Can Clarke produce his first double-digit fantasy points performance since March 30?

Mason Lohrei - DK $4.2K || FD $4.7K

Opponent - vs. Chicago Blackhawks

Mason Lohrei has three assists, four shots, and eight blocked shots in his last five games. After a brief period of a lack of production and a drop in form, the rookie blueliner has stepped up his game.

As mentioned above, the Chicago Blackhawks are lacking defensively. Based on recent performances, Boston is expected to score at least three goals, and Lohrei is expected to score at least one point and two shots in this contest.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Sam Malinski (DK $4.4K || FD $4.4K) vs. Vancouver Canucks
  • Adam Pelech (DK $3.7K || FD $4.3K) vs. New York Rangers
