Tiered Dynasty Wide Receiver Rankings (Part 3)

What's up RotoBallers. Welcome to part three of our 2016 fantasy football tiered wide receiver rankings for dynasty leagues. You can read the rest of our 2016 dynasty league rankings. Fantasy football covers multiple different types of leagues now. There are Standard Leagues, PPR Leagues, Half-PPR Leagues, Rookie Leagues, and arguably the most popular, Daily Fantasy Football. In this article, I, Justin Bales, will be taking you through my most recent Dynasty League Rankings.

Dynasty Leagues are one of the most difficult types of rankings to project. There are multiple aspects that need to be equally balanced while making the rankings. Each owner needs a mix of players that can produce this season along with players that have the potential to produce for years to come. These rankings take every aspect into consideration, as some younger players may be ranked higher than players that are ready to produce this season.

Tier 11 – Dynasty Wide Receiver Rankings

  1. Chris Hogan
  2. Davante Adams
  3. Kenny Britt
  4. Brandon LaFell
  5. Jaelen Strong
  6. Pharoh Cooper
  7. Rishard Matthews

This tier is filled with players that could produce fairly solid numbers if there is an injury ahead of them. Most of these players will be lower on the depth chart, which isn’t always a terrible spot to be in terms of fantasy. Cooper is one player that sticks out that is young, filled with talent, and could work his way to a starting spot in a couple years. Overall, these are high upside picks that will likely be spending the season on your bench.

Tier 12 – Dynasty Wide Receiver Rankings

  1. Victor Cruz
  2. Brian Quick
  3. Justin Hardy
  4. Braxton Miller
  5. Jamison Crowder
  6. Eddie Royal
  7. Robert Woods

This tier seems to have a bit more production and a bit less upside than tier 11, which isn’t always a bad thing. Aside from Miller and Hardy, the other receivers have produced numbers in the NFL, and will likely be in the mix to produce again this season. Sometimes instant production is something you need late in the draft, but they will never be players that should be starting on a weekly basis.

Hardy and Miller are the outliers in this tier, but they are essentially players that have the chance to produce, but also likely won’t be dominant players in their careers, as they are stuck behind elite receivers on their respective teams.

Tier 13 – Dynasty Wide Receiver Rankings

  1. Steve Johnson
  2. Pierre Garcon
  3. Danny Amendola
  4. Brandon Coleman
  5. Marqise Lee
  6. Cody Latimer
  7. Chris Conley
  8. Philly Brown
  9. Ty Montgomery
  10. Seth Roberts

This tier is riddled with injuries and missed opportunities. Keep in mind, these picks are meant to be late in the draft, and they do carry a bit upside. Most of the receivers in this group have been hurt at some point to slow down their career, while others didn’t play well when given the chance. Regardless, it will take an injury or two for these players to play significant snaps, which is what landed them this far down the draft board.

Tier 14 – Dynasty Wide Receiver Rankings

  1. Nate Washington
  2. Ted Ginn
  3. Anquan Boldin
  4. DeAndre Smelter
  5. Cole Beasley
  6. Cecil Shorts
  7. Albert Wilson
  8. Kenny Stills
  9. Marques Colston
  10. Brian Hartline

This tier is essentially throwing darts. None of these receivers will ever be great players, but they could turn in decent production. Some aren’t even on teams, so it will be interesting to see if they get signed this season. This list was also made before Anquan Boldin signed with the Lions, but he should be able to produce decent numbers this season. Still, he’s far from a great dynasty league option, and he shouldn’t be moved up too high.
