Thursday Night Football Matchups Analysis - Week 14

Thursday Night Football starts/sits and matchups analysis for Week 14 of the NFL season. Which Jaguars and Titans to start or sit for fantasy football lineups.

In what might be one of the greatest upsets of the regular season, the Dallas Cowboys found a way to take down a red-hot New Orleans Saints squad last Thursday in a 13-10 win.

Drew Brees and Alvin Kamara didn't do much to impress while Ezekiel Elliott passed 100 all-purpose yards for the eighth time this season, but fantasy owners who made the playoffs are living in the now.

Kicking off Week 14 is an intra-divisional matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans, so let's dive into Thursday Night Football Matchup Analysis!

Editor's Note: The FFPC Playoff Challenge is back with a massive $500,000 grand prize and $1.35 million total prize pool, paying down to 800th place. Here's the deal: no salary cap, no draft, no pickups, no subs. Choose 10 players, and as NFL teams get knocked out so will your players, so choose your team wisely. The 7,250 entries will sell out quickly, and registrations will close on Saturday January 10th at 4:30 pm ET . Don't wait - get your team now and end your fantasy football season with a shot at $500,000! Sign Up Now!

Must Starts

Top Performers That Have To Be In Your Lineup

Leonard Fournette (RB, JAX)

Fournette is coming off a single game suspension with refreshed legs and sits alone as a must-start for Week 14. He has found the end zone in each of his last three games while averaging 26 touches and the Tennessee Titans have given up 150.3 rushing yards per game over their last three games. The No. 1 rusher in Jacksonville is primed to return in a big way.

Consider Sitting

Players To Avoid Putting In Your Lineup If Possible

Cody Kessler (QB, JAX)

With bye weeks officially done, there are plenty of other streamers who should be on fantasy owners' radars other than Kessler who finished as the QB-24 last week against Indianapolis.

Donte MoncriefDede Westbrook (WRs, JAX)

The entire Jacksonville passing game lacks any upside whatsoever with Cody Kessler under center. In a Week 14 win, Moncrief only caught three passes for 40 yards, and Westbrook caught three passes for 25 yards. Neither are worthy of flex consideration, even in deep leagues.

Marcus Mariota (QB, TEN)

Jacksonville snapped Andrew Luck's streak of eight games with at least three touchdown passes in Week 13, and it looks like this top-five defensive unit is returning to peak form. Mariota has been a top-10 fantasy quarterback in four of his past five games, but it is hard to see a situation where he continues to succeed given his history of horrific performances against the Jaguars.

Derrick HenryDion Lewis (RBs, TEN)

Much like the rest of Tennessee's options on the offensive side of the ball, Henry and Lewis aren't likely to surprise against a Jacksonville Jaguars defense allowing the second-fewest fantasy points to opposing backfields. Henry should be recognized as a touchdown-dependent RB3 and Lewis, with only 107 yards from scrimmage over his last three games, is so unreliable at this point that fantasy owners need to be cautious about starting him.

Corey Davis (WR, TEN)

Davis has found his stride with the improving play of Marcus Mariota, scoring in three of his last four games. That being said, his target share sits at a low 17.2 percent, and he will likely draw most of the attention from star defensive back Jalen Ramsey. The Jaguars are also allowing the fewest touchdowns to the wide receiver position in the NFL.

Other Notable Sits: Tajae Sharpe (WR, TEN), D.J. Chark (WR, JAX)
