Tetairoa McMillan - Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Fantasy Football Picks for Week 1 (2025)

Tetairoa McMillan - College Football DFS Lineup Picks, NCAA CFB, NFL Draft Prospect

Tetairoa McMillan start 'em, sit 'em fantasy football picks for Week 1 of 2025. Should you start or sit Tetairoa McMillan for fantasy football lineups in Week 1?

BALLER MOVE: Start in all leagues

POSITIONAL VALUE: Upside WR3/FLEX

ANALYSIS: The Carolina Panthers found a true pass catcher for quarterback Bryce Young by selecting wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan out of Arizona with the eighth overall pick in the year's NFL Draft. McMillan entered the draft considered as the No. 2 wide receiver prospect, only behind Heisman winner Travis Hunter.

At Arizona, McMillan was named a consensus All-American during his final season. During this impressive season, McMillan totaled a Big 12-leading 1,319 yards on 84 receptions. He found the back of the end zone eight times.

While McMillan was already projected to open the season in a prominent role, this past week, more targets opened up. The Panthers opted to trade veteran wideout Adam Thielen to the Minnesota Vikings. In addition, the projected No. 2 wide receiver, Jalen Coker (quadriceps), was placed on the injured reserve and will miss at least the first four games.

As a result, McMillan now stands as the clear top pass catcher in the offense, with Xavier Legette moving up to the No. 2 spot. During the pre-season, McMillan had already begun to establish a connection with Young, as they connected for 43 yards in their pre-season opener.

Facing a weak Jacksonville defense, McMillan is projected to be a high-end WR3 in all formats, serving as the clear WR1 in the offense. If he sees a significant target share in Week 1, he will enter Week 2 as a high-end WR2.
