Sleeper.com NBA DFS Prop Picks - Over/Under Props for Friday, February 23

Sleeper NBA DFS prop picks for February 23, 2024. Use Jake's NBA over/under props recommendations to win money on Sleeper.

Welcome to our Sleeper NBA DFS prop picks for Friday, February 23. Friday is just our second day back from the All-Star break and already we have a majority of teams playing on the second night of a back-to-back. Thursday was an underwhelming return to action outside of Kings-Spurs and Friday’s 10-game slate features multiple non-conference matchups. This late into the season, wins don’t mean as much as playoff tiebreakers, so be aware that some of these teams will adjust accordingly.

Wasting superstar talent on a meaningless regular-season game isn’t going to be the game plan for contending teams, but this doesn’t mean all bad news for those good teams. Bench players and sixth men should be gearing up for the part of the season where they shine the most and overall availability is at its lowest.

Sleeper offers some of the best and easiest-to-win NBA DFS games in the industry. Sleeper DFS works just like regular player prop betting -- there are no large-field tournaments to get lost in. You're not playing against other people; you're just playing against the projections. Here are some of our favorite NBA prop picks for Friday's 10-game slate.

NBA DFS Props - Over/Under Picks for Friday, February 23

Anthony Davis OVER 3.5 Assists

Los Angeles and San Antonio lost Thursday, but only the Lakers have a reason to turn around and sell out for a win Friday. Obviously, the Spurs won’t just roll over, but they ultimately have nothing to play for. They’ll continue down their current path full of randomness and Victor Wembanyama-isms, but that’s it. The Spurs haven’t put up much of a fight all season and now that Anthony Davis is on somewhat of a roll, it’s hard to bet against this scenario.

San Antonio is the third-best team to target when betting assists, but there is always the chance Davis plays the ‘finisher’ role rather than the playmaker against a weaker opponent. Four assists are easily obtainable for someone with his ability, but his roles change based on the matchup. Playing the Spurs means all the Lakers should see extra opportunities and that should leave plenty of assist chances for everyone, including Davis.

Rui Hachimura OVER 17.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Although the Lakers live on the injury report, Austin Reaves actually had to leave Thursday’s game for a small period and could miss Friday’s matchup with the Spurs. If any Lakers miss time, Rui Hachimura isn’t just the first guy up, but his already graduated role increases even more. Hachimura has already secured a role deserving of 25+ MPG and he’s making the most of them.

Through his last four games, Hachimura is averaging over 20.0 PPG on 12.5 FGA per game. For a player that was just inserted into the starting lineup at the beginning of February, the Lakers' 6-2 record over that span speaks for itself. After almost putting up 40 points against Utah, it’s clear that playing bad defenses is the scenario we are looking for when taking Hachimura overs. With the Lakers likely feeling some game fatigue after a week-long break, Hachimura's upside looks better and better with every update.

Giannis Antetokounmpo UNDER 18.5 Rebounds + Assists

The Timberwolves with Rudy Gobert are a monster few teams are prepared to deal with. The Bucks are already in knee-deep water with the amount of times they’ve been blown out this season, not to mention a coaching change rarely helps team-cohesion.

Milwaukee might have gotten used to Doc Rivers, but a loss to the Grizzlies prior to the ASB (All-Star break) is a terrible, terrible sign. Missing Khris Middleton means more usage for both Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard, but that doesn’t mean much in terms of stats.

Antetokounmpo’s rebounds are already sporadic and his assists are just as random. He’ll always contribute, but at what level he’ll produce outside of points is always going to be up for grabs. For him to hit 19 rebounds and assists, he’ll have to have a massive game and a first game back from the mid-season break isn’t usually the best situation. We need to avoid triple-double-like production here and Antetokoumpo hasn’t done that since late-January.
