New Orleans Saints tight end Juwan Johnson has jumped onto the fantasy football scene over the last six weeks, and fantasy managers are jumping for joy. Finding a reliable and productive fantasy TE in 2022 is like finding a diamond in the rough.

Luckily for fantasy owners, Johnson is currently available in approximately 70% of leagues. He's coming off a 47-yard, four-target, one-touchdown performance in Sunday's Week 11 win over the Los Angeles Rams.

Johnson has flown somewhat under the radar as of late, perhaps because he is playing for a mediocre Saints team that is three games under .500.

Should I Pickup and Start Juwan Johnson For the Rest of the Fantasy Football Season?

If you're a fantasy manager and you don't have tight ends named Travis Kelce or Mark Andrews on your roster, you're probably not feeling very confident about that slot when setting your weekly lineups. Finding a TE who produces consistently on a weekly basis is nearly impossible. Each season, there are a handful of players that become available via the waiver wire which can help you cement that position.

Don't be fooled, Johnson will never put up Kelce or Andrews numbers on the regular, but over the last six weeks, he has more than held his own. If you are in need of a TE and the odds are high that's the case, don't walk to the waiver wire, run.

What is Juwan Johnson's Fantasy Football Outlook For the Stretch Run?

Outside of impressive rookie wide receiver Chris Olave, Saints quarterback Andy Dalton has made Johnson his favorite target.  Since coming onto the scene in Week 6, Johnson has flat-out produced.

Johnson has scored five touchdowns in five games, including three straight while averaging almost five targets per game and 12.5 fantasy points. These are numbers that place Johnson in the top-10 at the position. It's a minor miracle he's still available in so many leagues with the type of consistency he has brought for well over a month.

Is Johnson going to guarantee you a fantasy football championship? Probably not. But is he going to be a solid piece for your roster and title aspirations? Absolutely.
