Shedeur Sanders, Carson Beck, Quinn Ewers – Early 2025 NFL Draft Quarterback Outlooks

Quinn Ewers - Fantasy Football Rankings, College FB, NFL Rookies, Draft Sleepers

Could Shedeur Sanders, Carson Beck, or Quinn Ewers be the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft? Mike Fanelli dives into each quarterback's early 2025 NFL Draft outlook.

The 2025 NFL Draft is months away. However, it’s never too early to do some pre-draft homework.

While the 2024 NFL Draft class had six first-round-graded quarterbacks, next year’s class isn’t as loaded. Caleb Williams was the clear-cut top pick in the 2024 NFL Draft since the end of the 2022 college football season.

However, that isn’t the case in 2025. There is a race to be the first quarterback drafted, with Shedeur Sanders, Carson Beck, and Quinn Ewers fighting to be the first selected.

Shedeur Sanders NFL Draft Outlook

Sanders had an outstanding 2023 season at Colorado. He completed 69.3% of his pass attempts for 3,230 yards and 27 touchdowns. The star quarterback had only three interceptions despite averaging 39.1 pass attempts per game. Furthermore, he added four rushing touchdowns last year.

Colorado has massive expectations in 2024. The team started on fire last season but struggled in the second half. Sanders could be the first quarterback selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. However, he needs another impressive year while cutting back on his sack total.

Carson Beck NFL Draft Outlook

Beck finally earned a starting role in 2023, with Stetson Bennett heading to the NFL. Despite having only 58 career pass attempts heading into the year, Beck was outstanding. He completed 72.4% of his pass attempts for 3,941 yards and 24 touchdowns compared to six interceptions. Beck was impressive despite Ladd McConkey and Brock Bowers missing time with injuries.

Georgia missed the College Football Playoff last season. However, it won two national championships in the past three years and could add another in 2024. If Beck has another outstanding season and leads the Bulldogs to another title, he could be the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Quinn Ewers NFL Draft Outlook

Ewers entered college football with massive expectations. After spending a redshirt year at Ohio State, the talented quarterback transferred to Texas. His freshman season was hampered by injuries. Yet, he totaled 2,177 passing yards and 15 touchdowns in 10 games. Last year, Ewers missed a few games with an injury. However, he was outstanding on the field, completing 69% of his pass attempts for 3,479 yards and 22 touchdowns in 12 games.

The Longhorns star arguably has the most upside of any quarterback eligible for the 2025 NFL Draft. However, Ewers has been inconsistent. He will make a highlight-reel throw on one play, but throw an awful interception on the next. If Ewers can become more consistent, the Texas star will become the clear-cut top pick in 2025.
