RotoBaller's MLB DFS Strategy Series Introduction

Happy opening day RotoBallers! Things are about to heat up for the 2016 MLB season and we're going to be crushing Daily Fantasy Baseball for the entire regular season and playoffs!

Let's kick things off right for the 2016 fantasy baseball season by announcing that New York state residents have been banned from playing games for money on DraftKings and FanDuel (in my deeply sarcastic and sullen tone). But thank the heavens for all you other DFS enthusiasts in other states who won't have any issues spending your hard earned money any way you damn well please; 'Merca baby!

We are here for the next seven months to provide an edge for DFS players of all skill levels. We know that everyone isn't necessarily as seasoned as some of our RotoBaller MLB premium contributors, but the wealth of knowledge, experience, research and tools that we will be discussing and offering throughout the season should cover almost everything you need to start winning more consistently. This primer is the first in many articles we'll be publishing discussing MLB DFS Strategy.

RotoBaller's Daily League Strategy Series

1) To kick things off, our "DraftKings/FanDuel Rules And Do’s And Don'ts" articles will start with the basics, and give you the information you need to understand the core rules and differences between the two websites. We'll also highlight all the major scoring and rule changes that these industry leading sites have undertaken in the MLB offseason.

2) In our "DraftKings/FanDuel Rules Changes For 2016 & Their Impact" series, we delve deeper into how the rule changes for each site impact the values of players and lineup construction options. It's always the small or not-so-obvious things that we need to pay most attention to, and we will surely explore every nuance.

3) Next up, we'll drill down into the importance of starting pitching in DFS. Our "Starting Pitcher Strategies For DraftKings/FanDuel" articles will give you insight into the strategies and theories our experts use every single day when they make their selections. Many would argue that pitching is the most important thing to "get right" when playing MLB DFS, so we'll make sure you're doing everything right in order to increase your success rate and lower your bust rate.

4) Our "How To Value Hitters For DraftKings/FanDuel - Pricing vs Production" series will leave no stone unturned and give you every bit of information you need to understand pricing and valuation for hitters across MLB DFS games. This important series will highlight basic valuation principles, key sabermetrics and lineup construct theories for your hitters.

5) Once we are through breaking down all the basics on pitcher selection and lineup building, the fun part begins. The area where our highly experienced and proven winners can help most is in giving you their strategies for cash games (50/50 contests), and also guaranteed prize pool large field tournaments (GPPs).

All of these columns will be available to Premium subscribers.

RotoBaller's Premium MLB DFS Subscription

RotoBaller is looking forward to getting things started off strong this fantasy baseball season. Ultimately this MLB DFS Strategy series is not to tell you what to do, but to help guide you along with some valuable reading resources. We'll give you tips and daily research ideas for you to compare to your own DFS notes. Every player learns the game in their own ways, and refines their skills over time, and we will expedite that process for those of you new to the games, while also giving the experienced players some valuable time-saving research.

There will be much more to come after this first series. As the season moves along we will be rolling out the next stage of much deeper premium strategy and analysis series to help further refine the theories you have already begun to employ in your DFS gaming. We look forward to being a part of your successful 2016 MLB season!
