Should I start Romeo Doubs, Marquise Brown, Rashid Shaheed for Week 4? Fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks and recommendations for the 2025 NFL season.
It happens every season: a few wide receivers hover in that gray area where it's hard to know whether or not you can trust them. One week, they have a brilliant game and seem like sneaky plays. The following week, they disappear.
Heading into Week 4, injuries and shifting roles make some surprising names viable fantasy plays.
Romeo Doubs, Marquise Brown, and Rashid Shaheed are three wideouts living on that "start 'em or sit 'em" bubble at the moment. Let's examine what's working and what's holding these players back to see if they belong in your starting lineup this week.

Should I Start Romeo Doubs for Fantasy Football?
Week 3 was a modest one for Doubs, as he brought in both of his targets for 25 yards against a strong Cleveland defense. Jordan Love threw for just 183 yards in that matchup, limiting opportunities. That game shouldn't discourage you too much from what the wideout can bring to the offense.
This week, Doubs gets a softer matchup against a Cowboys secondary that's been shredded through the air. Dallas has surrendered 288 passing yards per contest this season, the most in the NFL. They've also permitted six touchdowns to wide receivers.

Doubs leads all Packers wideouts in routes run and maintains a team-high 27.1% air yards share. With Jayden Reed (collarbone) sidelined, opportunities should open up in his direction. He's on the field more than Matthew Golden and Dontayvion Wicks, which is vital when trying to project usage.
Of course, the Packers' receivers room has been a tricky one to nail down for years. Sometimes it's Reed that hits, sometimes it's Wicks, and sometimes it's the Doubs show. TE Tucker Kraft has been Love's favorite target this season, leading the team in targets, yards, receptions, and scores.
If you're in a 14+ team league, Doubs is worth a flex start against the Cowboys' paltry secondary. In shallower leagues, it's safer to sit him and lean on more predictable production.
Should I Start Marquise Brown for Fantasy Football?
Hollywood has been frustrating to roster this season. After a fantastic Week 1 where he caught 10-of-16 targets for 99 yards and 19.9 PPR points, his last two games dropped to just 8.0 and 8.2 points.
Injuries and suspensions to wideouts in front of him gave him a chance to step into a bigger role for a bit. But Xavier Worthy was cleared from his shoulder injury, and Rashee Rice will return from suspension in a few weeks. Brown's path to targets is becoming cloudier with the emergence of Tyquan Thornton (team-high nine looks in Week 3).

Even with Travis Kelce's snap share declining each week, the tight end still demands attention in this offense. Mahomes hasn't topped 258 passing yards in a game this season, further limiting Brown's path to volume.
For now, he's best left on your bench in all formats. Brown's talent is there, but the role just isn't strong enough to trust him in a Week 4 matchup with the Ravens. He has value as a depth piece with the possibility of spike weeks, depending on the health of the other receivers.
Should I Start Rashid Shaheed for Fantasy Football?
Consistency has been a theme for the Saints, with Shaheed quietly becoming one of the safer pieces of their passing game this year. He has caught at least four passes in each matchup, averaging a steady, if unspectacular, 42.3 yards.
Shaheed remains a strong third receiving option behind Chris Olave and Juwan Johnson. This season, he's seen three red zone targets and found the end zone in Week 2. Red zone looks can keep his floor safe, even if his ceiling isn't high.

This week's contest with Buffalo won't be an easy one for the wideout, as they've given up the ninth-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers this season. A bright spot is that the Bills have allowed four touchdowns to the position, giving Shaheed the chance to hit paydirt if the Saints find themselves in scoring position.
In a 12+ team league, Shaheed can work as a safe flex play that won't light up the scoreboard, but also won't tank your week. Consider him a safety net this week if you're dealing with the massive flood of injuries at the WR position.
