RIVAL Over/Under Picks – Monday, March 20, 2023

Last Wednesday, Domantas Sabonis triple-double’d, Darius Garland hit his under, Jaren Jackson Jr. had a decent game and Jalen Green finished with, by far, the worst statline on the team, only making four of his 13 attempts.

Klay Thompson OVER 30.75 fantasy points

This season alone, Klay Thompson has two 40-point games versus the Rockets and it has everything to do with their inexperienced defense. There is little they will be able to do tonight aside from assigning someone to lock Thompson down and with Steph Curry on the court there is no way that is happening. With his line barely above 30 fantasy points and his history against this team just this season, it’s easy to like his upside especially when the Warriors are trying to break a losing streak and prove they can win on the road.

De’Aaron Fox OVER 39.37 fantasy points

With the amount of game-winning shots he’s made this season, the attention surrounding Fox’s late-game abilities is more than deserved. As long as he keeps playing with the same energy it’s hard not to like him on a nightly basis. The last time we took an under on Fox it was because he was lining up against Jrue Holiday, arguably the best backcourt defender in the league. If that led to him having a 30+ point game and a ton of assists, he’s going to have an absolute field day against the Jazz.

Jalen Brunson OVER 36.34 fantasy points

These last two picks are Knicks in entirely different situations. Jalen Brunson is returning from an injury and in the first game back, he posted a 20-point game and contributed slightly across the board. That’s all we can ask for and his line is reflective of someone who isn’t playing at their full potential. Brunson took 20 shots and had no defensive stats, but that leaves room for improvement in his second game back. The Timberwolves defense has picked it up as of late, so we’re going to expect Brunson or Julius Randle will be forced into production.

Mitchell Robinson OVER 23.58 fantasy points

Mitchell Robinson has yet to put together a solid string of games this season. Whether it’s from injury or lack of playing time, his time on the court has been severely underwhelming on a nightly basis. He managed to “hold” Nikola Jokic to a 24-10-8 line and the Knicks won, so he did his job on the defensive end and that’s why his stats usually take a serious hit. Luckily, Robinson lives to win under bets because he’s notorious for foul trouble and we are already benefitting from his natural sacrifice of stats.
