ANALYSIS: Davis is off to a scorching start for Detroit this year. In years past, Davis' value has come strictly on the basepaths. While he is still a speed demon (11 steals in 13 attempts), he has been far from a one-trick pony up to this point. His slash line of .337/.391/.446 is making him a player that can add add value in multiple categories. His OBP alone makes him a worthwhile pickup since he typically hits in front of Ian Kinsler, Miguel Cabrera, and Victor Martinez -- three guys who can drive Davis in with regularity. If Davis is available in your league, grab him now and hold him until he slows down.
