Is Heavy Wide Receiver a Winning Draft Strategy in 2024?
As we approach prime drafting season for many fantasy football managers, questions begin to surface on how to attack drafts strategically. The answer lies in your league's scoring and starting lineup construction. With many leagues requiring three wide receivers in starting lineups, most managers will prefer to go after this position quite hard in the early rounds. But if every other manager in your league is doing this, what helps you stand out from the pack?
The WR position in 2024 is loaded with potential in the middle to late rounds. So if you implement a strategy of "zig when others zag", you can load up your roster at other positions to draft the potential upside later. As we saw in 2023, players from the middle to late rounds can become highly coveted starters in your weekly lineups. Coupled with the depth built in the early rounds at other positions, this can give you a leg up on your competition to hoist that fantasy title in 2024!
