Running Backs Losing Value in Fantasy Drafts?
Fantasy football is an ever-evolving game and there is no other testament to that than how managers have viewed the running back position over the last few years. With draft strategies like "Hero RB" and "Zero RB" becoming commonplace, the days of seeing the first round of drafts being very heavy at the RB position are gone. NFL offenses have been implementing more and more committee backfields, making it more difficult to nail down a player who is expected to see a large workload at the position.
Keeping an eye on efficiency metrics is becoming more important in finding value later in drafts. The fantasy managers that strike it rich with these types of players tend to be in contention later in the season when it's fantasy playoff time. As always, the more homework you can do, the bigger the edge you will have on your competition.
