PrizePicks MLB DFS Prop Picks - Today's Over/Under Props for Thursday, September 21, 2023

Jose Berrios - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

Today's PrizePicks MLB DFS prop picks for Thursday, September 21, 2023, by Kipp Heisterman. Use his MLB over/under props recommendations to win money on PrizePicks.

Welcome to our PrizePicks MLB DFS prop picks for Thursday, September 21, 2023. The 2023 MLB season is underway here at RotoBaller, and we have you covered with some terrific plays from our friends over at PrizePicks. PrizePicks is a great DFS fantasy picks site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play.

On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money.

Announcement: We have two awesome new Props Optimizers for the MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, and NCAA! The PrizePicks Optimizer and Prop Bets Optimizer are both available in our new Props Premium Package, which includes exclusive access to RotoBaller's VIP Discord chat rooms for props and betting.

Featured Promo: New Novig users get a $25 purchase match (50% discount up to $25) on your first Novig deposit, and 6 free months of RotoBaller's "Big-4" Premium Pass (NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL) which includes exclusive tools for Betting, Props, DFS and more! CLAIM IT NOW

PrizePicks Over/Under DFS Props Contests

PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game.

The second game is known as Single Stat. For the MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total.

You can mix and match players from different types of games in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!

Griffin Canning MORE than 6.0 strikeouts

Griffin Canning has struck out at least six batters in four of his previous seven starts. He will be pitching this afternoon in a day game against the Tampa Bay Rays, who have posted a 24.8% K rate vs. right-handers over the previous three weeks, which ranks 10th-worst in baseball over that span. Canning will also be on the road where his K/9 split is a solid 9.1 and where he has posted s respectable 1.20 WHIP.

Jose Berrios MORE than 6.0 strikeouts

Jose Berrios has struck out at least seven batters in each of his previous three starts, including a start against the pesky Kansas City Royals on September 10 when he mowed down seven across seven innings pitched. He will be up against the New York Yankees tonight, who have posted a 25.6% K rate vs. right-handers over the previous three weeks, which ranks eighth-worst in baseball over that span. Berrios also faced the Yankees way back on May 18 and managed to strike out eight batters across 6 2/3 innings pitched. The only concern here is that Berrios will be on the road where his K/9 is slightly worse than at home.

David Peterson MORE than 5.5 strikeouts

This play is definitely a bit risky as Peterson can be difficult to trust, but there are not a ton a solid options at this point this morning. Peterson has struck out at least eight batters in three of his previous four starts. He will be up against the Philadelphia Phillies, who have posted a 25.5% K rate vs. left-handers over the previous three weeks, which ranks seventh-worst in baseball over that span. They are also posting a sub-100 wRC+ mark over this span, which should help keep his earned run total down. This game will also be on the road where Peterson has posted a 10.3 K/9, which is slightly better than his home mark of 10.1.

Other Recommendations: Max Fried MORE than 5.0 strikeouts
