The second game is known as Single Stat. MLB DFS Prop Picks for 8/13/22
Marco Gonzales over 4.0 strikeouts- Gonzales has a solid matchup against the Rangers today as they are posting the second-highest K rate against lefties over the previous two weeks with a rate of 32.3% while also posting a paltry 78 wRC+ mark over that same span. This is also a number that Gonzales has hit in each of his previous three starts.
Reid Detmers over 5.5 strikeouts - Detmers has seemed to figure it out since the clock turned to June and now has six or more strikeouts in seven straight starts. He will be facing the Twins tonight, who has posted a 24% K rate vs. lefties over the previous two weeks, which is ranked in the bottom half of baseball. They have also posted a sub-1o00 wRC+ mark over that same span as well, so the matchup looks ripe for Detmers here.
Frankie Montas over 4.5 strikeouts - This feels way too low on Montas and almost certainly will not last. He will be facing the Red Sox, who have posted a 24.1% K rate vs. right-handers over the previous two weeks, which is ranked fifth-worst in the league. Montas has struggled a bit lately but has struck out at least five in 13 starts this season.
Dylan Bundy over 4.5 strikeouts - I swore I would stay away from Bundy as he has burned me on more than one occasion this season but a matchup against the Angels is too tempting. Over the previous two weeks, the Angels have posted the fourth-highest K rate against righties with a rate of 25.7%. Meanwhile, Bundy has gone over 4.5 strikeouts in two of his previous three starts.
