MLB DFS Prop Picks for 8/15/22
Luis Castillo over 7.0 strikeouts- Castillo has been superb recently as he has struck out at least seven in five straight starts. Tonight, he will be facing the Angels who are a team we have been attacking for quite some time. Over the previous two weeks, the Angels have posted a 25.4% K rate vs. right-handers, which is ranked fourth-worst in the league. They have also posted just an 86 wRC+ mark and a 6.9% walk rate over that same span.
Joe Musgrove over 5.5 strikeouts - This number may be a bit tight, but Musgrove has gone over this total in two of his previous three starts. He gets the Marlins tonight, who have a sneaky low K rate, but they also have not faced many talented strikeout pitchers in the month of August aside from Zack Wheeler and Hunter Greene, both of which managed to mow down eight Marlins.
Carlos Carrasco over 5.5 strikeouts - Carrasco has been on a roll as he has struck out at least six in four of his previous five starts, including a six-strikeout performance against these Braves just two starts ago. Atlanta has been struggling in terms of strikeouts against right-handers over the previous two weeks as they are posting a 26.3% K rate, which is ranked second-worst in the league over that span.
