The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. MLB DFS Prop Picks for 6/20/22
Alek Manoah over 6.0 strikeouts - We were against Manoah earlier this week, but he has a solid matchup in this one against the Brewers. Over the previous two weeks, Milwaukee is posting a K rate of 24.2% against right-handed pitching, which ranks ninth-worst in the league over that span. They are also posting just an average 98 wRC+ over that same span. Manoah has gone over this total in six starts this season and has also thrown six-plus innings in six of his previous seven starts.
Chris Flexen over 4.5 strikeouts - I am not a Chris Flexen supporter, but the number is solid on this play. He will be facing the Angels who have posted the highest K rate against right-handed pitching for some time now and have a rate of 30.7% over the previous two weeks. He has gone over this total in three of his previous five starts and in both of his previous two starts, one of which was against these Angels.
Graham Ashcraft over 3.5 strikeouts - Ashcraft has eclipsed this total in three of his previous four starts and has a good chance at getting over it against the Giants tonight. The Giants have posted a 25.7% K rate vs. right-handers over the previous two weeks, which ranks sixth-worst in the league over that span. The only concern here is that the Giants have a walk rate 13.6% over the previous two weeks, which could get Ahscraft into trouble as he does currently have a BB/9 rate close to two.
Andrew Vaughn over 1.5 hits + walks - It is Kyle Bradish night against, folks, and that means we are looking at any White Sox right-handed bats we can find. Bradish's struggles against right-handed hitters are well documented as he has allowed nine home runs and posted a 2.20 WHIP against them. Vaughn has been hot as he has collected 22 hits in his previous 10 games. He has also collected six multi-hits games in those previous 10 games as well. Disclaimer: Austin Voth may start for the Orioles tonight, but he has also been atrocious against righties by posting a 2.36 WHIP, so the White Sox are still in play here.
