DFS Cheat Sheet

Game of the Day

Phoenix Suns vs Golden State Warriors

The Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors have both been playing at an above average pace this season. They are both offensive teams that are likely to struggle defensive this season. This game features the second highest projected total on the slate at 228.5 points.

Golden State has struggled to defend the three-point line this season, which is one of the reasons Kelly Oubre Jr. makes a great play (he's been outlined in the Cheat Sheet). Devin Booker and Frank Kaminsky are two solid options, who focus around the three-point shot. They both make great options on this slate tonight. Jevon Carter has played 27 and 33 minutes in his last two games, and quietly makes a high upside salary relief option. Ricky Rubio doesn't focus heavily on his three-point shot, but he has hit value in each of his three games this season. He makes a solid option tonight.

Aron Baynes has proved that he can hit value in limited minutes, but on a large slate, there are simply better options. Dario Saric comes with some upside, but may be a bit too risky to consider tonight. Tyler Johnson, Cam Johnson, and Mikal Bridges can all be avoided tonight.

The "Big Three" are the top options for Golden State. Stephen Curry, D'Angelo Russell, and Draymond Green all come with tremendous upside, and they should find success in this matchup. They have proven that they can all find success in the same game, as well. Glenn Robinson is also expected to see solid minutes, and makes a fine option for his price tag. Damion Lee has been outlined in the Cheat Sheet, as well.

Jordan Poole is expected to see minutes in the 20s, but he hasn't flashed enough to be considered. The rest of the Golden State rotation has seen inconsistent minutes, and their bench can be avoided for the most part tonight.

Fade of the Day

Ben Simmons

Simmons has seen a few ups and downs this season, scoring 45+ fantasy points in his first two games before scoring only 31.5 DK points against the Atlanta Hawks. He's still slightly under $9K, lacking upside.

Simmons is one of the most expensive guards on the slate. He owns only a 21.8% usage rating this season. Surprisingly, that ranks second out of the starters. Still, Joel Embiid dominates the ball.

Simmons relies heavily on peripheral stats. He comes with triple-double potential, but his lack of scoring upside coupled with multiple players that have the potential to post peripheral stats with Simmons on the court makes him a risky option. He can be avoided for his price tonight.
