DFS Cheat Sheet

Game of the Day

Atlanta Hawks vs Miami Heat

Surprisingly, the Miami Heat lead the NBA in pace, while the Atlanta Hawks have been slowing their pace down substantially this season. That is likely to change as the season progresses, and this game features the highest projected total on the slate at 223.5 points.

Trae Young is the focal point of the Atlanta offense, posting a ridiculous 37.9% usage rating early this season. He comes with elite upside, and can be used in all leagues. John Collins is the other top option for Atlanta, and he has been outlined in the Cheat Sheet. The only other player that is projected to see 30 minutes is De'Andre Hunter, who is coming off of his best game as a pro, but still comes with quite a bit of risk.

Cam Reddish comes with upside, and could see 25-27 minutes tonight, but he has struggled to find his footing in the NBA. He's an extremely risky GPP dart on this slate. DeAndre' Bembry, Jabari Parker, Kevin Huerter, and Alex Len all project to see 20-25 minutes in this game. Bembry makes the top option, while Len comes with clear upside. Huerter is still on a minute's restriction, which limits his upside. Bruno Fernando quietly ranks second on the team in usage rating, and he's another high risk GPP dart.

Goran Dragic, Jimmy Butler, Justise Winslow, and Bam Adebayo all make great options on this slate, and they are discussed in the Cheat Sheet. The offense will change a bit with Butler back, but Miami is still expected to run a relatively short rotation, meaning they could boast a few players with great value.

Kelly Olynyk and Meyers Leonard are splitting minutes, limiting each other's upside. Olynyk is the better option of the duo, but can likely be avoided tonight. Kendrick Nunn has looked outstanding thus far. He's likely to lose some minutes with Butler back, but his scoring won't simply fade. He comes with tremendous upside. The same can be said for Tyler Herro, who has yet to truly flash the upside we saw throughout the preseason. Duncan Robinson has carved out a role in the offense, as well, and he can be considered for a near minimum price tag, but he also comes with quite a bit of risk.

Fade of the Day

There are only three games tonight, and no reason to specifically avoid anyone.
