Game of the Day

Minnesota Wolves vs Washington Wizards

The Minnesota Wolves and Washington Wizards are two teams that will be looking to push the pace in this game. They rank fifth and 11th in the NBA in pace thus far. It's no surprise this game features the highest Vegas total on the slate at 226.5 points.

The Wolves will be without Karl-Anthony Towns tonight, leaving other players to pick up the offensive workload. The most obvious option is Andrew Wiggins, who is likely to lead the team in usage rating tonight. Jeff Teague and Robert Covington are likely to find more offensive opportunities, as well, and they are the only other two players that are expected to play 30+ minutes tonight. Shabazz Napier comes with a solid usage rating, as well, and he's outlined in the Cheat Sheet.

Noah Vonleh and Jake Layman are two players that are expensive to see minutes in the mid-20s. Vonleh makes the better option, but both can be considered for their price tags. Treveon Graham and Josh Okogie are also expected to see around 20 minutes tonight. Both make interesting options, but Okogie could take on a larger scoring role, making him a solid salary relief option. Jarrett Culver and Gorgui Dieng will find their way into the rotation, but neither make great options, unless the latter is announced for bigger minutes.

Bradley Beal is the focal point of the offense, and he makes an elite option tonight. Rui Hachimura and Thomas Bryant are locked into big minutes each night. Hachimura is an extremely safe option, while Bryant comes with tremendous upside in this matchup.

Isaiah Thomas, Ish Smith, and Issac Bonga are three point guard eligible players, who have been splitting minutes. Each player is expected to play around 25 minutes tonight, and Thomas is far and away the top option. He's averaging 1.47 DK points per minute this season. While that isn't sustainable, it shows his upside. Davis Bertans has been locked into solid minutes, and he's far too cheap. He's one of the best options on this slate tonight. Troy Brown and Moritz Wagner are expected to find minutes, but they shouldn't be considered anywhere outside of huge GPPs.

Fade of the Day

Nikola Vucevic

The same logic as yesterday applies to Vucevic tonight. He hasn't truly done anything to deserve his current price tag. On the season, he's averaging 15.4 points, 10.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.0 steal (35.9 DK points) in 29.5 minutes per game.

He gets a tough matchup against Nikola Jokic, who doesn't always play in the paint. It could limit Vucevic's rebounding potential. His inefficiencies and lack of block/steal potential keep his ceiling low. There are better options above and below his price tag.
