DFS Cheat Sheet

Game of the Day

Washington Wizards vs Los Angeles Lakers

The Washington Wizards rank fourth in the NBA in pace, while the Los Angeles Lakers rank only 22nd in the same category. Both teams also rank in the top-six of the league in offensive rating. This game features the highest Vegas total on the slate at 235 points.

The Washington rotation is more or less set in stone at the moment, as you know if you've been reading this premium article. Bradley Beal is the focal point of the offense, and he's expected to play 40 minutes tonight. Isaiah Thomas and Ish Smith are splitting minutes at point guard. Smith is a bit cheap, and comes with more upside, making him the better option. Jordan McRae is another high upside tournament option, but he's no longer cheap enough to simply plug into your lineups. Troy Brown will also find minutes, but shouldn't be considered on this slate.

Davis Bertans continues to make the most consistent option for his price at forward for Washington. He'll continue to see minutes in the high-20s, and he's a great option tonight. Thomas Bryant has also been catching fire recently. He's a player that is better suited for tournaments, though. Mortiz Wagner and Rui Hachimura aren't playing quite as many minutes, but each player comes with upside. They can be considered in tournaments, although they are far from must plays on this large of a slate.

Anthony Davis and LeBron James are the only two Los Angeles players over $5K on DraftKings tonight. They are the focal points of the offense, and both can be used tonight. I do prefer Davis, who has been outlined in the Cheat Sheet.

Rajon Rondo comes with upside, but his minutes have been inconsistent. He can be considered in tournaments on this slate tonight. Kyle Kuzma is another solid tournament option for a low price tag, although he generally needs to be an efficient scorer to find fantasy success in this offense. Danny Green and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope are both expected to play solid minutes, but neither make great options tonight. Dwight Howard is extremely cheap, and comes with upside. He can be considered in tournaments, but solely as a deep GPP dart.

Fade of the Day

Kawhi Leonard

Leonard is no longer locked into big minutes with Paul George back in the lineup. He has played only 28 minutes in each of his last 3 games, scoring 45.5 or fewer DK points in each of those games.

Leonard is still a major part of the offense, but his usage rating and shot attempts have dropped a bit since George returned. He has also lost a few opportunities for peripheral stats. With this being such a large slate, Leonard doesn't carry the same upside as some of the other high priced options.
