DFS Cheat Sheet

Game of the Day

Charlotte Hornets vs Washington Wizards

The Charlotte Hornets have been slowing the pace down in 2019, while the Washington Wizards have been picking it up. These teams rank 23rd and fifth in the NBA in pace, respectively. This game features the highest Vegas total on the slate at 234.5 points.

Terry Rozier is expected to play 30+ minutes tonight, and he makes an outstanding option against Washington. Devonte' Graham is another great option, and he's been outlined in the Cheat Sheet. Malik Monk quietly boasts value for a low price tag. He's seeing minutes in the mid-20s, and this is a matchup he should be able to take advantage of. Nicolas Batum will also see minutes in the 20s, but he's far from a great option. He can be considered in GPPs, but should be avoided in cash games. Dwayne Bacon is expected to find minutes, but shouldn't be considered tonight.

Miles Bridges isn't overly consistent, but he is expected to see 30+ minutes tonight. He comes with more than enough upside to warrant consideration in tournaments. P.J. Washington has struggled with fouls in each of his last two games. That has dropped his price tag, making him an outstanding tournament option. Marvin Williams is another forward who comes with more than enough upside for tournaments, but isn't safe enough for cash games. Cody Zeller and Bismack Biyombo are playing minutes at center, but neither make great options tonight.

Bradley Beal is the only option for Washington, who is expected to play 30+ minutes tonight. He's a bit expensive for cash games, but he comes with 70 DK point upside in tournaments. Isaiah Thomas has lost value since joining the starting lineup, but he's cheap enough to be considered in GPPs. The same can be said for Ish Smith. Troy Brown is expected to find minutes in the mid-20s, and he comes with tournament upside on this slate, as well. C.J. Miles is the final guard that can be considered, but he should be avoided tonight.

The Wizards have four big men that are playing solid minutes. Davis Bertans has been the top option recently, and he still comes with a low price tag. Thomas Bryant and Mortiz Wagner come with the highest upside for their price tags, but they are splitting minutes at center, limiting each others value. Still, both can be considered in GPPs. Rui Hachimura is the final option, but he should strictly be considered in tournaments tonight.

Fade of the Day

Kawhi Leonard

Leonard's price tag is inflated because of his start to the season without Paul George. With PG13 on the court, Leonard will see less usage with less potential for peripheral stats. In his only game with George where the latter played 30+ minutes, Leonard only scored 38 DK points.

Leonard certainly comes with tremendous upside, but there's very little reason to pay up for Leonard when George is significantly cheaper on both sites. Simply put, PG13 makes a better option than Leonard at the moment.
