DFS Cheat Sheet

Game of the Day

Washington Wizards vs Minnesota Wolves

The Washington Wizards and Minnesota Wolves have been pushing the pace this season. They rank seventh and fourth in the NBA in pace, respectively. This game features the highest Vegas total on the slate by a wide margin at 239.5 points.

Bradley Beal is the focal point of the Washington offense, boast a team-high 32.9% usage rating this season. He's coming off of a dominant performance against the Boston Celtics, and makes a high upside option tonight. Isaiah Thomas is expected to see minutes in the high-20s or low-30s tonight. He ranks second on the team with a 25.3% usage rating. He makes a solid option for his new minutes and low price tag. Thomas Bryant is the only other player expected to see 30+ minutes tonight, and he has been outlined in the Cheat Sheet.

Rui Hachimura, Davis Bertans, and Troy Brown are three players that are expected to see minutes in the mid-20s tonight. Each player comes with more than enough upside to be considered, but should strictly be considered in tournaments. They're in order of preference, as well. Ish Smith, C.J. Miles, Jordan McRae, and Mortiz Wagner are all in the rotation, but shouldn't be used unless there is an injury to one of the other players.

Jeff Teague makes an outstanding option, and he's been outlined in the Cheat Sheet. Karl-Anthony Towns is the top option for Minnesota. He shares a team-high 28.3% usage rating with Andrew Wiggins. Both players are a bit too cheap for their recent production, and they can be used on this slate. Robert Covington and Treveon Graham are expected to find minutes, as well. Neither is a consistent option because of their lack of usage rating, but both can be used in tournaments because of their price tags.

Jake Layman, Josh Okogie, and Jarrett Culver are three more players in the rotation. They all lose a bit of value with Teague returning, but they have proven they can find success with him in the rotation, as well. Similarly to a few players in this game, they can be used in tournaments. Once again, that is order of preference.

Fade of the Day

Jaylen Brown

Brown has been playing well since the injury to Gordon Hayward. He only scored 35.25 DK points in his last game against the Washington Wizards. Brown is a player that relies heavily on scoring, although he can add rebounds and a few assists to his lines.

He gets a solid matchup against the Golden State Warriors. With that being said, Brown isn't a great three-point shooter, and Golden State has struggled to defend the three. That could somewhat limit Brown's scoring opportunities.

He's finally priced up, as well. While Brown has the potential to hit value, he will likely struggle to exceed value by a wide margin. Others simply come with more per dollar upside on this slate.
