DFS Cheat Sheet

Game of the Day

Brooklyn Nets vs Phoenix Suns

The Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns have both been playing at an above average pace this season. They rank fifth and 12th in the NBA in pace, respectively. It should come as no surprise that this game features the highest Vegas total on the slate at 233 points.

Kyrie Irving is the focal point of the Brooklyn offense, posting a 33.7% usage rating this season. He's an elite option in all leagues tonight. Caris Levert, Taurean Prince, and Joe Harris are 3 more options, who are expected to see 30+ minutes tonight. Each player comes with tremendous upside, although they all come with quite a bit of risk, as well. As for center, DeAndre Jordan is listed as probable. He'll split minutes with Jarrett Allen, making both of them boom or bust tournament options.

Spencer Dinwiddie quietly owns a 27.4% usage rating this season. His minutes have been a bit inconsistent, but he's coming off of a huge game against the Portland Blazers. Similarly to the majority of the Brooklyn roster, he makes a great GPP play tonight. Garrett Temple has also seen plenty of ups and downs recently, and he's still extremely cheap. He's another player best suited for tournaments.

Ricky Rubio doesn't come with a high usage rating, but he runs the offense. He has quiet triple-double potential on a nightly basis, and has been playing well enough to be considered in both cash games and tournaments. Devin Booker is a bit more expensive, a boasts a 28.8% usage rating. He relies heavily on scoring, though, making him an elite tournament option in this matchup. Kelly Oubre is another tournament option, who has cooled off a bit recently after finding success early in the season. Aron Baynes has been outlined in the Cheat Sheet.

Dario Saric and Frank Kaminsky have been sharing minutes, but it looks like Saric is pulling away in their battle. He's the better option of the duo, but still comes with quite a bit of risk. Mikal Bridges is expected to see 20-25 minutes, and he's near the minimum price. He should strictly be used in tournaments.

Fade of the Day

Khris Middleton

Middleton has seemingly been a boom or bust option over his last few games. He has scored 40+ DK points in 2 of his last 5 games, while scoring fewer than 25 DK points in the other 3. He's a player that relies heavily on scoring, so when his shot is off or he gets a tough matchup, he tends to struggle.

Middleton gets a tough matchup tonight. He'll face off against the Oklahoma City Thunder, who are a solid defense, and love slowing the pace down in their games. They currently rank ninth in the NBA against shooting guards. Middleton could see limited opportunities tonight because of the pace in this game, making him too risky of an option to truly be considered.
