Zach Remillard Hitting Leadoff Against Angels
1 year agoChicago White Sox rookie infielder Zach Remillard is starting at second base and is hitting in the leadoff spot for Thursday's tilt against the Los Angeles Angels and left-hander Patrick Sandoval. Remillard will get another start at second base and will hit in the top spot in the order for the first time in his big-league career. The 29-year-old has only played in 10 games in the majors but has held his own so far with 10 hits in 26 at-bats (.385) with a double, four RBI, two stolen bases and three runs scored in 28 plate appearances. Remillard could continue to see playing time over veteran Elvis Andrus, but there's nothing in his minor-league numbers to suggest that he'll be worth a pickup in shallow mixed leagues anytime soon.
