Zach Maxwell K's 3 In Inning Of Relief
6 months agoCincinnati Reds pitching prospect Zach Maxwell earned his second victory of the season out of relief for Triple-A Louisville on Sunday. Maxwell sent down all three batters he faced via the strikeout and allowed one hit. Maxwell has close to an equal amount of time between Double-A and Triple-A this season. After dominating Double-A with a 1.23 ERA in 14 2/3 innings, he has struggled with Louisville to the tune of a 6.52 ERA in his first 11 innings. Despite the early struggles, Maxwell has flashed potential as he can hit up to 100 MPH with his big 6'6, 275-pound frame. Maxwell is not a player that dynasty managers need to go running after, but he could be good bullpen option in the future.
