Yuli Gurriel Scratched From Thursday’s Lineup
10 months agoMiami Marlins first baseman Yuli Gurriel (nose) was scratched from Thursday's lineup against the Boston Red Sox. The 39-year-old was originally slated to fill in at first base for Garrett Cooper (illness), but Miami's depth will be stretched further after Gurriel got hit in the nose with a ball during pregame work. Luis Arraez shifts to the cold corner, Jon Berti pivots to second base, and Jean Segura enters the fray at third base while batting fifth. Consider Gurriel day-to-day ahead of a weekend series in Atlanta with the Braves.
