Wil Myers Out For Second Straight Day
2 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Wil Myers (undisclosed) is out of the starting lineup on Thursday against the St. Louis Cardinals for the second straight day. Manager David Bell said it's minor and that there hasn't been "discussion of injured list at this point." No specifics were given as to what exactly Myers is dealing with, but he'll remain out for now. Myers has been dreadful at the plate all year, and especially of late, and he's now hitting just .189 (24-for-127) with three doubles, three home runs, 12 RBI, two stolen bases, 11 runs scored and 48 strikeouts in 141 plate appearances over 37 games. The 32-year-old should be on the waiver wire in all mixed leagues at this point. Stuart Fairchild is starting in right field and is hitting eighth for the Reds against right-hander Miles Mikolas on Thursday.
