Victor Reyes Agrees With The White Sox
2 years agoThe Chicago White Sox agreed to a minor-league deal with former Detroit Tigers outfielder Victor Reyes on Friday, according to a source. The deal includes a non-roster invite to spring training. Reyes will stay in the American League Central after he was designated for assignment in November by the Tigers. The 28-year-old will give the White Sox some much-needed outfield depth heading into next season. Reyes played in 92 games in his fifth year for Detroit and slashed .254/.289/.362 with only three home runs, 34 RBI, 27 runs scored and two stolen bases in 336 plate appearances. He has only 16 home runs and a .264 batting average in five major-league seasons, giving him very little fantasy appeal as a bench player.
