Tyler Scott Should Be Deep Option For Justin Fields
2 years agoChicago Bears rookie wide receiver Tyler Scott, who was drafted in the fourth round (133rd overall) this year, should primarily be a deep option for quarterback Justin Fields when he plays in 2023. DJ Moore is the team's clear No. 1 receiver, but they also have Chase Claypool, Darnell Mooney, Equanimeous St. Brown and Dante Pettis in the fold at the position. It's the deepest their receiver room has been in years, which means it will be hard for Scott to see valuable playing time in his first NFL season. But the Bears are counting on Scott's speed becoming a part of the offense while also being featured on special teams as a gunner. The 21-year-old's athletic profile increases his long-term ceiling, and Moore is the only wideout on the roster that the team is invested in long term.
