Chicago Blackhawks forward Tyler Johnson (ankle) was placed on Injured Reserve Thursday. The two-time Stanley Cup winner was hurt in Tuesday's 4-2 win over Florida when he went feet-first into the boards in the third period. He left the arena in a walking boot, which is a sign that Johnson will likely need quite a bit of time to recover. It's a shame because he already missed a lot of time last season after undergoing artificial disc replacement surgery in his neck, and he had opened the campaign in fine form with two goals and four assists in six games. Jujhar Khaira looks set to take over from Johnson on the second line Thursday versus Edmonton.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
