6 months agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Trevor Bauer was hit hard in a 9-8 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday. Bauer allowed eight runs (seven earned) over three innings while striking out two. It was an uneven effort across the board as the veteran hurler gave up two runs in the first inning and then three runs in each the second and third innings. Bauer has struggled since coming over to Cincinnati, having posted a 7.32 ERA over five starts. Overall, in 29 starts between the Reds and the Cleveland Indians, Bauer has a 10-11 record, 4.34 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, and 217 strikeouts. He will look to bounce back against the St. Louis Cardinals in his next start.--Matt Terelle - RotoBaller
