Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Timothy Liljegren will not dress for Tuesday's home game against the Vegas Golden Knights due to an undisclosed injury. The 24-year-old did not practice on Monday and while head coach Sheldon Keefe initially did not rule him out for Tuesday, he will indeed skip the contest. Liljegren skated 20:40 in Saturday's win over the Colorado Avalanche and has been leaned on heavily of late as No. 1 defenseman Morgan Rielly served a five-game suspension. The Swede has logged a career-high 19:27 of ice time per game while collecting two goals and 16 points across 40 games on the season. Mark Giordano is expected to make his return to the lineup in Liljegren's absence.--Brenton Kemp
