Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Timothy Liljegren had to exit Thursday's 4-1 win over Winnipeg after taking a puck to the head. The incident occurred in the third period and Liljegren finished with 15:47 of ice time. He had one shot, two blocks and one hit with two penalty minutes in the contest. The Swedish blue-liner has enjoyed a good offensive spell lately, pushing his points tally for the year to 11. In 35 contests, Liljegren has also registered 40 shots, 70 hits and 51 blocks with a plus-20 rating. He's not a scoring machine like Morgan Rielly, but Liljegren plays a quietly effective game on the Maple Leafs blue line and will definitely be a big miss if he doesn't get the green light to play Saturday versus Montreal.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
