Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Timothy Liljegren had to make an early exit with an upper-body injury as the team's 15-game point streak came to an end Thursday with a 3-1 loss to the Rangers. He logged 10:25 of ice time and blocked two shots before leaving the game. Liljegren was seen walking out of the arena with his right hand wrapped, so he could be out for quite a bit. The team is going to re-evaluate him on Friday. Liljegren boasts only five points in 20 games this season, but he's been a very effective player on the ice, registering a plus-15 rating. He will be missed as a defensive presence, with Liljegren having recorded 35 hits and 27 blocks for the season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
