Taylor Motter Finishes Second On Mariners In Spring RBI
7 years agoSeattle Mariners infielder Taylor Motter finished up his spring strong, hitting .297 and coming in second on the team with 14 runs batted in. Motter played in 25 spring games, the most on the team, and will need to be more consistent this season to be effective. He started off hot last season, racking up 12 extra-base hits and driving in 13 runs in April. But things went downhill from there and he finished the season going 3-for-28 in the month of September. Motter's defense isn't the question, but whether he can be a solid offensive contributor off the bench. Motter should spell Jean Segura and Robinson Cano at times but will not be an attractive fantasy option if he sees consistent playing time.
