Sterling Shepard Doesn't Practice Wednesday
3 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (quadriceps) did not practice on Wednesday. Shepard was seen on the field early in the day, but he didn't actually get in any practice reps. The 28-year-old has been out since Week 8, but he could be getting closer to returning for the Giants. He has been involved plenty when healthy, as he's caught 32 of 43 targets for 323 yards and one touchdown in five games played, but it's been really hard to rely on any Giants pass-catchers this year with any kind of weekly consistency given their terrible offensive line. Shepard could be a decent WR3/flex option in PPR leagues once he's back to full health, but until then, rookie Kadarius Toney and Kenny Golladay will be the team's primary pass-catchers.
