2 years agoAnd the first pitcher to get a save for the Nationals following last week's acquisition from the A's is....Sean Doolittle! Dusty Baker turned to the lefty on Tuesday night to face the Angels' lefties in the bottom of the ninth in Anaheim. Doolittle walked C.J. Cron on four pitches and allowed his first hit all year by a lefty when Kole Calhoun bounced one off the outfield wall, scoring Cron and bringing the Angels within one run. Luckily, Doolittle quickly induced two outs by Mike Trout and Albert Pujols for his first save as the Nationals won 4-3. It looks like Baker will play match-ups, so hang onto Ryan Madson because he'll likely face right-handed batters.--Mario Hernandez - RotoBaller
