Ryan Feltner Reinstated And Starting On Monday
4 months agoThe Colorado Rockies reinstated right-hander Ryan Feltner (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list on Monday and placed left-hander Lucas Gilbreath (shoulder) on the 15-day IL in a corresponding move due to left-shoulder inflammation. The team also recalled right-hander Jake Bird from Triple-A Albuquerque and optioned right-hander Peter Lambert to Albuquerque in a corresponding move. Feltner will make the start on Monday at Coors Field against the Miami Marlins. He threw 2 2/3 innings for Albuquerque on Aug. 21 in a minor-league rehab start and gave up five runs (three earned) on four hits with two walks and three strikeouts. Manager Bud Black had been hoping Feltner would have gone three or four innings, so expect him to be on a pitch count in his first start back on Monday. It's a great matchup for the 27-year-old, but we still wouldn't recommend him as a streamer, especially at Coors.
