Roman Quinn Likely Out For The Season
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Roman Quinn (leg) suffered an injury to his left Achilles in Saturday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. He fell while rounding third base and had to hop his way to home plate to score. He was then carried off the field by trainers. He is set to undergo tests on Sunday, but the team certainly appears to be expecting the worst. Manager Joe Girardi told reporters, "I don't expect to get any good news from the MRI." It's likely that Quinn will be out for the rest of the 2021 season. Expect to see an increase in playing time for Matt Joyce until Bryce Harper (wrist) returns from the injured list.
