Nick Neidert Provides Four Solid Innings On Wednesday
4 years agoMiami Marlins rookie starting pitcher Nick Neidert was called up to make Wednesday's start and pitched decently against the Philadelphia Phillies. Neidert threw four innings, allowing one run on four hits and two walks while striking out three. He lowered his ERA to 5.63. Neidert will show some solid flashes, but he doesn't seem to have the raw "stuff" nor the velocity to be anything close to a front-end starter. He could settle into a fifth starter role but is more likely to work as a swing man and fill-in starter at the big league level. He is unlikely to develop much fantasy league relevance.
