5 years agoKansas City Royals rookie catcher Nick Dini made his major league debut on Thursday, and he laced a single to left in the top of the sixth to rack up his first major league hit. Dini is a pretty solid offensive catcher who was hitting .296 with 13 home runs in Triple-A this year before getting the call, and he should get quite a bit of use while Cam Gallagher is on the shelf. Since there's no timetable for Gallagher's return, Dini's stay could be throughout the fantasy playoffs. For those who have a zero at catcher, Dini could be a solid short-term pickup to help finish out the year.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
