Nets Resting Spencer Dinwiddie Wednesday
4 months agoThe Brooklyn Nets are resting guard Spencer Dinwiddie (rest) on Wednesday versus the Milwaukee Bucks for his second absence of the year. Nov. 1 marked the last time Dinwiddie was out of Brooklyn's lineup, and they've needed every bit of his playmaking with Ben Simmons (hip) missing for the majority of the season thus far. Dinwiddie shot just 2-for-11 on Tuesday but offered nine points, six assists, five rebounds, and one steal in 34 minutes as the Nets avoided being on the wrong side of history in the 118-112 win over a Detroit Pistons group that has now lost an NBA-record 27 straight games. The 30-year-old point man should be back on Friday against the Washington Wizards. More facilitating may be asked of the shoot-first Cam Thomas on Wednesday, while Dennis Smith Jr. is in line for an uptick in minutes.
