Mark Ingram II Likely Done For The Season
2 years agoNew Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram II (knee) suffered a slight tear of his MCL in Monday night's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to sources. The injury will knock Ingram out indefinitely and will likely end his season. He will be out for four to six weeks, but he will not need surgery. With only five games left in the regular season, Ingram is most certainly done for the rest of 2022. The 32-year-old veteran actually outproduced Alvin Kamara in Week 13 with seven carries for 27 yards and a season-high five catches for 22 yards. He'll finish his 2022 campaign with 62 carries for 233 yards and a touchdown, adding 16 receptions for 68 yards in 10 games (three starts). Dwayne Washington will now become Kamara's direct backup in the Saints' backfield.
