Liam Hendriks Blows Save, Takes Loss On Sunday

Oakland Athletics closer Liam Hendriks allowed two runs on three hits in the ninth inning of Sunday's 7-6 loss to the Minnesota Twins. Hendriks entered the game with a one-run lead, but Ehire Adrianza's RBI triple tied the contest before Max Kepler delivered a two-out RBI single to walk it off. Before the game, the 30-year-old had not given up a run since June 5. Hendriks has eight saves on the season to go along with a 1.46 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, and 70/18 K/BB rate. He remains the undisputed closer in Oakland and is worthy of ownership in all formats.
