Kyle Freeland Tosses Quality Start
6 years agoIn his first relatively good outing in a month, Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Kyle Freeland threw a solid six innings against the Red Sox on Tuesday. Freeland allowed three earned runs in six innings while striking out seven, though he was overshadowed by his opponent's 17-strikeout performance. Freeland still walked three, and he was incredibly fortunate that all three runs came on solo home runs as he stranded five other baserunners. Freeland's obviously come back down to Earth after his run last year that depended so heavily on good luck, and he's showing more of his true colors now. He's not really worth owning in the vast majority of fantasy leagues, but he'll get another shot to prove the numbers wrong when he faces the Pirates next week.
