Kolten Wong Still Out Against Rangers
2 years agoSeattle Mariners second baseman Kolten Wong (wrist) remains out of the starting lineup on Monday against the Texas Rangers. Wong hurt his wrist on Saturday against the Houston Astros and will now miss his second straight game. For now, fantasy managers should continue to consider the 32-year-old veteran as day-to-day. Jose Caballero will fill in at the keystone on Monday and hit eighth in the batting order against Rangers right-hander Jon Gray. Wong has been very quiet at the plate so far in 2023 in his first year in Seattle, going just 15-for-79 (.190) with two doubles, no home runs, eight RBI and nine runs scored in his 25 games. Hopefully, a little time off due to his injury will allow him to pick things up offensively when he returns.
