Nashville Predators right wing Kiefer Sherwood put in an impressive performance in Friday's season opener against San Jose, grabbing a goal and assist in a 4-1 win. He opened the scoring with just a minute played and helped Nino Niederreiter to score in his Nashville debut late in the second period. Sherwood skated on the second line with Niederreiter and Ryan Johansen. The 27-year-old is not expected to make much noise in fantasy hockey, but he at least looks to be an intriguing DFS option early in the year, as long as he stays among the top six. Sherwood is looking to nail down a full-time spot in the NHL after having a massive 75 points in 57 games last year in the AHL.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
