Josh Donaldson Has Small Tear In His Calf
1 year agoNew York Yankees third baseman Josh Donaldson (calf) said that he has a high-grade strain/small tear in his right calf, and there is no timetable for his return. It's more bad news for Donaldson in what has been a complete disaster of a season for the 37-year-old veteran. The three-time All-Star and former MVP is nearing the end of his career at this point and has played in only 33 games in 2023 due to injuries. In those 33 games (120 plate appearances), he's hit an embarrassing .142/.225/.434 with 10 home runs, one double, 15 RBI and 13 runs scored. Fantasy managers shouldn't be holding him in mixed leagues at this point, and there's a chance that we won't see Donaldson again this year.
