The Seattle Kraken have locked up winger Jordan Eberle to a two-year contract extension that carries a $4.75 million average annual value. Eberle was either going to be signed to an extension or traded prior to Friday's 3 pm ET trade deadline as the Kraken are sellers given that they sit six points back of the final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference with the Calgary Flames and St. Louis Blues also six points back. The veteran has recorded 14 goals and 37 points across 58 games on the season, his third with the Kraken after the team picked him from the New York Islanders in the expansion draft. He is just two games shy of playing in 1,000 career games.--Brenton Kemp
